College Square



The Town Hall or Institute at the end of College Square East next to the ball alleys.



Thomas Street, between Charlemont Square and College Square is the only remaining "back street". The others, James Street and Frederick Street, were demolished in the late 1960s.



Lake View is a row of large houses with long gardens reaching down to the mill pond. They seem to have been built for senior managers of the Spinning Company.



The VG store (now Spar and still owned by Trevor Harvey) was originally the Bessbrook Co-operative Stores.Trevor has now retired (2006).



Dale Terrace on Church Road.



The Methodist Church built in 1873 on Church Road.
