Abbey Terrace, at the top of Chapel Road, was built in 1912. The main difference today is an extension to Number 4 (nearest).

St Malachy's School stood near the bottom of Chapel Road. Older inhabitants of Bessbrook would know it as Master Mulligan's or Master Murray's. Some others would refer to it as Pappy Fearon's University. It was demolished in the 1980s.

Christ Church (CoI), at the top of Church Road was built about 1873.

The Presbyterian Church on Convent Hill was first built in the 1860s. It has been extended several times since.
