Bessbrook 2000

Page One

The following photographs were taken at the beginning of the new millennium. They show a mixture of ancient and modern and reinforce the idea that a Conservation Area can still allow the construction of new buildings while retaining the character of the old.

Charlemont Square was the first square to be built in Bessbrook.

There were originally five shops at the end of Charlemont Square East but Number 5 was converted into a house many years ago.
